Mike Wolf, Heartland Operations and Program Director


Mike Wolf was born and raised in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. He now resides in Harshaw, Wisconsin with his horses Lobo and Barney. 

Mike started his post college career working as a Mechanical Designer Engineer for The Howard Company in Brookfield Wisconsin. After several years in the design field he decided to follow a childhood dream to be in broadcasting.

He attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated with a degree in broadcasting in 1997.
After graduation, Mike accepted his first job in Wisconsin Rapids at WGLX. He co-hosted the Wendy and The Wolf morning show. From there Mike moved on to Wausau, Wisconsin and WDEZ.

After a stint in Central Wisconsin, Mike was offered a Job in Wisconsin’s Northwoods and sprung at the chance. He spent  8 years in Minocqua, Wisconsin as the Program Director of WMQA.

In 2008 Mike took a break from radio, but it wasn’t long and he was itching to get back behind the mic. He received a call from Heartland Communications in Eagle River, WI with an offer to come back to radio.

Mike served as the afternoon on-air host and website guy for a year and a half before assuming the job of Program Director and morning show host on WRJO. Upon the company being purchased by Jim and Diane Coursolle, Mike was promoted to Corporate Program Director of the company's 8 station group.
